RockWest Technology Group integrated Salamander Technologies’ interTRAX PIV into it’s full line of identity management solutions for federal, state, and local government. RTG’s ID suite provides a resource management solution for emergency first responders that brings together the essential functions of FIPS 201-compliant Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials and on-site incident management as mandated by the National Incident Management System (NIMS). By combining these functions, emergency responders are able to effectively bridge the gap between HSPD-12 (identification) and HSPD-5 (accountability) by allowing emergency response officials to have the unprecedented ability to verify identities, control site access, build an organizational structure, and manage resources throughout the incident with one seamless application executed through a single handheld system.
